The Former Squash Court has been converted into a unique holiday home
The project involved the rebirth of an existing squash court. The project was inspired by the client’s desire to create a unique, modernist home, but challenged with the limitations of working in the grounds of a Grade II listed manor house and the existing structure.
The family wanted to refurbish the space, breathing new life to the tried building. The installation of a large gable end floods the interior space with light.
Working With The Existing Fabric
The project didn’t come without its complications, working within the constraints of the existing fabric. The project completely renovated the entire building, incorporating a redesign of the existing structure to create open plan space across all floors.
The project was undertaken by DT Carpentry, an established contracting firm operating throughout the Southwest.
We undertake both small and large commissions. We specialise in projects that respond creatively to their environment and context.
