Working with The BRO Project
This year we are delighted to be working with The BRO Project, a Community Interest Company focused on mental health, wellbeing and social connection across Devon. Their work reaches communities in Exeter, Torbay and Plymouth, creating spaces where people feel supported and understood. We are proud to be contributing to a project that tackles important issues in a direct and positive way, helping to create opportunities for connection through everyday experiences.
A New Hub in Newton Abbot
The BRO Project have recently secured a site in Newton Abbot which they plan to turn into a welcoming and active hub. The aim is to create a place where people can come together through movement, shared activities and informal conversation. It will be a space that feels open, practical and full of life, helping to break down barriers around mental health in a natural way. Its location will allow it to serve a wide area, connecting communities from Torquay and Torbay through to Exeter and Plymouth.

Supporting People Through Design
We will be supporting the project on a pro bono basis, working closely with the BRO Project team to shape a building that works for the people who use it. Alongside this, the Flair programme, delivered in partnership with Sport and Active Education Ltd, will play a key role in the space. Flair supports young people aged fourteen to twenty five who have become disengaged from mainstream education, helping them rebuild confidence, gain skills and move towards positive next steps. We are looking forward to sharing the journey as the project develops and to working with a team that cares deeply about what they do.
