Pain Management Clinic, Plymouth Marjon University

The Pain Management Clinic refurbishment at Plymouth Marjon University has been delivered by Co Create Architects in collaboration with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Nevada Construction. The project involved transforming an existing administrative area into a modern clinical facility that supports the continued growth of pain management services in Plymouth. The completed space provides a calm, functional environment tailored to the needs of both patients and staff.

Design Approach
The design focused on creating a clear, well organised layout that promotes a sense of calm and ease. By reworking the internal arrangement, the scheme introduces dedicated consultation and treatment spaces supported by updated building services. Careful attention has been given to lighting, material selection and spatial flow, resulting in a clean and welcoming interior that aligns with the demands of a contemporary healthcare setting.
Delivery and Collaboration
Working closely with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Nevada Construction, the project moved efficiently from strip out through to completion. A collaborative approach ensured that the design intent was carried through each stage of the build, with a strong focus on quality, coordination and attention to detail. The result is a refined clinical environment delivered to a high standard.
