We are delighted to share that our Brampton Court Hotel conversion project has received unanimous planning approval, paving the way for potentially the first ever development in the UK under the Hotels to Homes initiative. This forward thinking scheme will transform a former hotel in Torquay into 14 high quality, energy efficient homes, setting a precedent for future sustainable housing projects.
Designed by Co Create Architects, with construction led by Armada Property UK, this project is an exciting step towards repurposing redundant hospitality spaces into much needed housing.

The Brampton Court Hotel, a historic Victorian villa in the Belgravia Conservation Area, will be sensitively restored and modernised, ensuring its architectural heritage is preserved while enhancing the surrounding urban landscape.
The approved scheme focuses on sustainability, energy efficiency and careful integration into the existing streetscape. By retaining and restoring key architectural details, improving soft landscaping and reducing carbon emissions through adaptive reuse, the project aligns with our commitment to responsible design and positive community impact.
The Hotels to Homes initiative is a pioneering programme aimed at reusing small, under utilised brownfield sites to create high quality housing. Brampton Court could be the first project of its kind, leading the way for future developments that can revitalise disused buildings, reduce urban dereliction, and provide much needed housing.
Construction is set to begin in the coming months, with completion expected in late 2025. We are excited to see this project come to life and contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the area.
