A Revitalised Community Health Space in Torquay. Co Create Architects Proud to Deliver St Edmunds Refurbishment for NHS Trust.
We are pleased to share the completion of our recent project for the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust – the refurbishment of the St Edmunds community site in Torquay. This transformation marks an important investment in local healthcare infrastructure, providing an enhanced environment for both staff and service users.
The redesigned facility now features modern clinical and administrative spaces, including upgraded group activity rooms, refreshed meeting areas, and improved workspaces. These improvements create a more welcoming and functional setting that supports a wide range of community health and wellbeing services.
Significant updates include new clinical rooms, enhanced work areas, improved staff facilities, refurbished toilets and kitchens, and a dedicated infant feeding area for staff and visitors. The result is a brighter, more efficient environment that boosts staff morale and enables teams to expand the services they offer to the community.
The £478,000 refurbishment was made possible through capital funding from the Trust’s Capital Departmental Expenditure Limit (CDEL), which allowed us to work closely with our project partners to bring the vision to life.
We extend our thanks to Arque Ltd, Matthew Guppy, and all those involved in delivering this project. Your dedication and teamwork were vital in ensuring a successful outcome.
At Co Create Architects, we are proud to contribute to projects that make a tangible difference in the health and wellbeing of communities. The St Edmunds site now stands as a revitalised space – ready to meet the evolving needs of healthcare teams and local residents alike.
