We are thrilled to share with you our latest completed project near Wembury in Plymouth. This project involved the complete renovation of the existing property, situated right on the coast with stunning sea views.
The property was in need of a full renovation. We worked closely with the local planning authority and assisted in the appointment of a contractor local to Plymouth. Our vision was to modernise the outside appearance of the property, breathing new life.
As part of the design process, we worked with the clients to prepare a series of 3D visuals showing the impact of different material selections and arrangements.
The first step in the renovation process was to render the outside of the property, giving it a fresh and modern look. The introduction of larch cladding added a natural and modern feel to the property’s appearance and helped tie the design in with an existing studio building on the site. The existing roof was replaced with that would be better suited to the coastal environment.
To further modernise the outside appearance of the property, we created new entrance steps that lead up to the front door. These steps were carefully designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and practical, helping to define the main entrance that was visually screened from the main entrance to the site.
The end result is a stunning coastal property that is both modern and practical, while also being sympathetic to the natural environment in which it is situated. The use of natural materials, such as larch cladding helped to blend the property seamlessly into its surroundings, while the modern design elements give it a fresh and contemporary feel.
