Co Create Architects Takes a Stand for Environmental Responsibility with a Successful Beach Clean Event
On Tuesday the 16th May, seven of our amazing and dedicated team of architects and designers went out to the Ness Cove, Shaldon and Teignmouth beaches located on the South Devon coast. Our mission to contribute to the world of environmental awareness and responsibility was carried out with ease and lots of fun.
The day proved to be a huge success, as the weather was fantastic, the ocean was calm, and we managed to collect 8 full bin bags of rubbish. Some of the items found included a fishing rod, countless E-cigarettes and even a yoga mat! The public were highly supportive and thankful for our efforts, which made it all worthwhile.

These types of events are important to bring communities together but also to bring awareness to others about our duties as citizens to keep our areas clean and tidy and be conscious of our actions and the consequences of those actions. Cleaning rubbish off the floor may seem like a small task and meaningless, however it is everyone’s responsibility and the more it is done the less pollution there will be.

We may not realise this but the rubbish we leave on the streets and parks and beaches may cause many problems to all sorts of wildlife and the environment. Therefore, Co Create Architects made an effort to plan this event and hope to plan more, like our beach clean, as part of our sustainability agenda.

This is just the beginning and we hope to host many more such events during each year and continue to collaborate with the councils and other organisations of our local areas to make a difference and help our planet. This is the first of many more events. We are excited for the next Environmental Day and may consider a tree planting day in the winter.
