On the 5th of September 2023 the Armada Property UK Ltd Annual Charity Golf Day was held at the Teignmouth Golf Club in South Devon support of Rowcroft Hospice, such a great and noble cause. We are very happy to have been there and had a load of fun with our architectural and construction colleagues. We supported Rowcroft Hospice by sponsoring one of the holes on the golf course and lots of money was raised for a great cause!
Rowcroft Hospice is a charity that takes care and supports people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families across South Devon. The Hospice takes care of many people irrespective of their diagnosis or circumstances and they are committed to helping all those with life-limiting illness over 18 years old and their families free of charge. They offer advice and emotional support as well as specialist end of life palliative care. Their team of specialists includes doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, bereavement counsellors, a spiritual care specialist and a music therapist, plus a range of support staff, work tirelessly for thousands of patients and their families every year. Events such as these are of high value to our architectural practice as they are excellent networking events for the construction and design sector, they are valuable team building experiences and they are also beneficial to many other people and organisations. Not only do they help bring communities together but also raise awareness of issues and situations that are not always evident. Additionally, as a company and employer in Devon, with offices in Newton Abbot and Plymouth, we take pride in organising or taking part in these events and offering our services and support to organisations and people that we feel provide an important contribution in our community.
This was a great event full of different things going on, we were taken care of very well. We had coffee and bacon rolls at 10:30 and then tee off at 12. We came in a 5th place and were very happy with the result, but hope to do better next year. After the golf we had a lovely barbeque where there was a raffle and auction held with some great prizes, 2-night Midweek Stay at Burgh Island, Afternoon Tea at Burgh Island, a lodge at Cofton Holiday Park, Signed David Beckham Shirt, Dartmoor Whiskey Tour, 4 ball Golf at numerous courses and 2 tickets to any Exeter Chiefs match.
